Cliff Wood receives Community Award from Providence Police Department

On October 2, Executive Director Cliff Wood received a Community Appreciation Award on behalf of the work he does with The Providence Foundation at the third Annual Providence Police Community Awards. The ceremony was held at the Providence Public Safety Complex.

The Community Appreciation Award Ceremony recognizes those in the community whose partnership and collaboration with the police department have proven to be instrumental to both the department and the community. The department believes that these partnerships help to build trust within a community and ultimately help prevent crime. Community partnerships are what make community-oriented policing a reality and this year’s recipients helped the department succeed in their work.

“I am truly honored to be awarded the Community Appreciation Award from the Providence Police Department. The Providence Foundation work in the community is deeply rooted in the relationship with our exceptional, community-minded Providence police officers and we are grateful for their service,” said Cliff after the awards ceremony.
